  1. usually between $50 000 and $70 000, it all depends what grade you would be teaching
  2. In most states the pay is about $32,000.00 for 10 months for a new teacher but it is spread out over 12 months ( 32,000/12). Teaching is on the top 5 list of the most stressful jobs. Plan on taking a lot of work home to grade. If you do not plan on teaching math, science, english, or social studies expect a hell of a lot of extra duties.
  3. It depends on what country and what state you are in. You need to be a little clearer in your question when asking a question in a global forum. Having said that; look up the education department in the area you are interested in or see if the teachers union gives the information. I know the unions in Australia gives excellent details. Teachers in Australia, if employed full time, are on salaries that cover the full twelve months with a teaching load fairly common at about 25 lessons per week out of 30 lessons on the school timetable (the numbers vary by state but come out fairly close) The hours come out around 20hrs contact per week plus preparation and marking. Income starts in the first year around the 38 000+/yr (Aust dollars) through to about 75 000 in some states. Some private schools pay higher salaries of up to around $80 000. ... so you can see ... it is not as simple as there being one income nor the same conditions. Good luck
  4. Well, in SC, it all depends on things such as: Years experience Level of Education (number of degrees) National Board Certified In my district, a teacher with only a BS degree starts at around 34k and tops out (30 years/retirement) at around 58k. Then you can have supplements to your salary. These can be for coaching sports, sponsoring clubs/activities, teaching homebound students, etc. Supplements can range anywhere from $500 to $10k.
