What university has the most fans and what university makes the most money selling apparel?

So basically, I just want to know statistics on universites to figure out which one has the most fans and I also would like to know which university makes the most money selling university products. I guess what I am trying to find out, and this may be hard to find. Even though it would have to be broken down by states of course, which university has the most fans overall (fan population) and also perhaps some statistics about the overall university incomes. It's sort of a tough question to answer...

10. Everyone's gonna say they're fave team, so I'll tell you this, I don't like College. But Notre Dame makes the most money. Pretty much every game they have ever played was sold out
11. right now i live in charlotte. i think the only place in north carolina that you cannot find apparel for the tar heels is on other university campuses. i worked at an office supply store and we still sold tar heels stuff. when i lived in nor cal tho, i think the most common sweatshirts were UCLA. between both places ive seen a bit of notre dame stuff here and there.
12. Im a FSU fan, but Ide say Ohio State prob has the most fans, and UF prob sells the most clothing. OSU is really the only major athletic school in their state and have a 100k+ stadium which sells out alot. I that there are currently alot of bandwagon UF fans who liked a different team 2 years ago, but switched to them since there a hot team and constantly try to rep them.

You would have to go by region or state, USC despite being one of the most popular teams in the nation is never going to have more fans in the state of Florida, than the Gators, Seminoles, Hurricanes, or Bulls for example. That would be like asking people in Alabama to admit the Red River Shootout is more important the Iron Bowl.

17. Traditionally, the teams that get the highest TV ratings for a national game are in this order: Notre Dame Penn State USC Don't know who sells the most university products though Florida St. players probably steal the most university products.
18. Tennessee...they have the largest capacity stadium, they have the best traveling fans ( watch their bowl games and notice the stands are mostly orange ) AND they are 1 of the winningest all time universities. we were winning games b4 half you teams ever existed.. late 1700's to be exact
